This was written during the pandemic when the UK was in lockdown. While out for my daily walk, I met a friend who was working as a nurse in the ICU unit of a Covid ward at the local hospital. She told me of patients on ventilator machines. She said, “We do all we can to help them breathe.” This conversation stayed with me.
